A block of beautiful Victorian houses saved from the wreckers. Elizabeth my guide was well informed of their history and made it so much more meaningful. Recommended
Elizabeth was fantastic. We had a great time.
We really enjoyed the tour and recommend it!
Elizabeth was friendly and knowledgeable. Great tour for history buffs.
With horizontal rains, inside out umbrellas and rumbling skies, Elizabeth enthusiastically and humourously shared the stories of Austin. A super tour.
Elizabeth provided our group with a wonderful experience. Learned a lot about the history of Austin through the architecture we saw and the photos the tour guide brought to show us.
Elizabeth was a good guide -- very knowledgeable.
We liked hearing about the historic figures who shaped Austin. Harrison was a wealth of knowledge and made our tour fascinating. We felt that we learned much. Thank you so much!!
This tour was fantastic. Elizabeth is a gem! She was incredibly knowledgeable and her timing was impeccable (if you go, you’ll know what I mean!) She really brought the stories of the people who lived in and around these homes to life and we were even lucky enough to go inside one of them - a truly surprising treat and a highlight of our trip! Don’t miss out on this one - you’ll regret it!
Thank you, very nice.
Harrison made the tour very interesting with his knowledge. Did a wonderful job and great stories to share.
Pleasant leader but not as well prepared as needed. Visiting the Chateau Bellevue was the highlight of the tour.
Thoroughly enjoyed the tour of the area. I am so glad some of these old houses were saved. Highly recommend the tour to anyone who enjoys seeing Victorian era architecture and hearing the family stories behind them!
I highly recommend this walking tour! Beautiful victorian houses, a tour guide who seems to be highly interested in the work field of an historian and a special surprise in the end.
Elizabeth is a fantastic tour guide! Lots of fun and interesting information at a very reasonable walking pace!
I thoroughly enjoyed the tour, Elizabeth is very knowledgeable and one can only sympathise with her when hearing about all the beautiful Victorian properties that were demolished to erect what can only be described as an eye sore. One could almost hear her inner cringing when mentioning the subject! A fantastic and informative way to spend a Saturday morning. Whether you are familiar with Austin or not, I recommend this tour. The tour was so informative and it was great to learn about a particular part in Austin history! Not to mention the homes are GORGEOUS!
This was my second tour with Patsy and she didn't disappoint! This time, my husband, who has mobility issues, came too and Patsy accommodated his slow walking pace with great kindness and consideration. She's extremely knowledgeable about Austin history and architecture. I highly recommend this tour.
... and the woman's club house was amazing
We enjoyed the walk on on a "foggy" Austin day --- got to hear stories of Austin historical figure and enjoyed seeing some beautiful homes. Worth the walk!! Easy to locate our guide at the Capital Building --- Thank you for a great experience!
Guide knew her history!
Enjoyed learning about a different part of Austin
